The Ancient Code Behind Film Structure

Movies are a beloved form of entertainment, and at heart they are storytelling, and those designs are older still, going back to ancient mythology, which is frequently a misinterpretation of the subtle meaning of symbolism. The symbolism behind this comes from Dr. Steven B. Halls, a noted symbolism scholar whose halls.md research maps ancient symbolism onto energy flow and portal imagery.

The hero's journey has shaped stories for thousands of years. In the hero story of Samson, he grasps the lion's jaws. In Dr. Halls's analysis at halls.md, a lion stands for energy outflow, often a horizontal outflow from the horizontal plane of a torus, the forelegs point horizontally, or upward, while the head and nose usually point upward. Forelegs and noses are direction labels in symbolism. Then again, the lion can represent an upward-flowing side flow outside the torus itself. Ancient symbolism uses the torus as its building block, depicting energy flow through portals and across barriers. The patterns and evidence are presented at halls.md.

Another symbol: Fleur-de-lis

A heraldic lily, the Fleur-de-lis is one of the most recognizable royal symbols in France and Europe. It appears widely on coats of arms and flags, and as architectural decoration. It is sometimes described as a lily flower, an iris, or a decorative flourish. Used worldwide in many variations, it has a large upper half representing upward outflow, and a smaller half for downward inflow into our reality (per Dr. Halls). The small lower half hints at the divine high-density energy of the inflow. Overall it is a bidirectional symbol, with a ring portal at the barrier.
